about mike

I am a graphic designer/UX designer/art director/communications worker and trainer with many years experience.  I have a client list which is made up of mainly charities, education, the third sector, the arts and new/start-up businesses.

Design jobs range from traditional graphic and print projects – leaflets, posters, magazines, brochures, book jackets – to large scale exhibitions and media projects. Often I am responsible for creating the illustrations and photography.

My employment has often included a training element. I have designed and run workshops and training courses on all aspects of publishing. In Mongolia I was responsible for six trainees over the two years I was responsible for the project.

As marketing and publicity consultant for Manchester business consortium I supported new businesses with advice, enabling them to engage with professionals in this field.

The process
I provide a range of ideas for your project to get the process going. Using various images, typography and colour palettes you can pick and mix elements to create the next set of drafts – this way I will create a publication which you will be happy with and engages with your intended audience.

Illustration
I can advise on using images to illustrate the text – I can also take photographs or create images for you.
